Kidnapped! – New Jersey to Nevada…MO

W ell, this story hit the streets a couple of days ago and I was too lazy to type it up. However, procratination is saying this is turning out to be a case of mistaken identity.
These three, Douglas Stangeland, 46, of Nevada, Mo., and Lonnie Swarnes, 44, and Andrew Wadel, 21, both of Rich Hill, are currently accused of kidnapping Jeffrey Muller from in front of his petstore in Newton, New Jersey.
However, it is now coming out that they may have kidnapped the wrong guy. They grabbed Mueller and drove him across the eastern half of the country to Lake Ozark, Mo before they had car problems. While at a gas station, Muller took off and the store employee called the cops, after seeing the flee.
“Based on the investigation thus far, we believe this to be a case of mistaken identity,” said Gregory Mueller, an assistant prosecutor in Sussex County, N.J.
