I bet you will never guess what this strapping young man was booked for…Ok, I’ll tell you. It was a serious case of 32-0906 FISH WITHOUT A FISHING LICENSE. Or are you thinking what I am? He was brought in because of his looks. I wonder how many 70-yr old men they take downtown and book on fishing without a license? Of course, if that older man were a resident of an adult care home, he would not need a license. Bet you didn’t know that.
Can someone tell me why this couldn’t have been a ticket? I know, I know, they wanted an excuse to put him into the system. Print him, photo him…etc.
Former Olathe Employee Pleas Guilty in Child Case

On January 15, 2010 the Shawnee Police Department filed 21-3504(a)(3) AGG INDECENT LIBERTIES W/CHILD charges against Matt Feyerabend. Matt Feyerabend was a Stormwater Project Manager for the City of Olathe at that time. Within approximately six weeks he was no longer holding his position and the reasons were unannounced.
Since, Matthew Feyerabend agreed to a plea deal that allowed him to be found guilty of a lesser charge, 21-3511: Aggravated indecent solicitation of a child, and receive a sentence of 16 months in the custody of the corrections department.
